things I need to get around to writing

open letter to my new upstairs neighbor on how to please be a better neighbor and quiet because I get up at 3:45 am on weekdays and take afternoon naps, too.
(oh, and the P.S. to that - I haven't taken up smoking, so why does my apartment smell like it?)

the magical pile of not-quite-dirty, not-quite-clean clothing we all have (which is different from the pile of 2- and 3-day-old jeans)

my trip to NH and what 3 days of being in my parents' house with my siblings (and some of their SOs) was like

I hate lazy people... and people who try to get away with doing as little as possible.

Why do hard-working people with thoughts and opinions and voices often not get as far (in the world, career-wise, etc) as useless yes-men?

Cooking for one sucks.

Why is being healthy more expensive than being out of shape and eating poorly?

If the world loves big boobs so much, why are the bras so GD expensive compared to those for small chested ladies?

On Bras ... It's the engineering required. You are too young to remember Jane Russell (the actress). Howard Hughes had his engineering department design her bras.

Being healthy is more expensive because eating poorly requires little effort. Go figure.

Hi Jess-
(Been reading your blog for a while now... Tasty stuff... ;) Being an ex-DJ myself, some of your stuff is a trip down memory lane.)

Just a couple of comments on your recent missive:

Bras- An analogy for you: Engineering aside, A large house needs good landscaping to really accentuate the design.
(Just my opinion, but it has been said that I'm a sucker for a nice, but not necessairly large, set of boobs.)

Healthy Eating:
Really easy to buy/eat cheap bad-for-you food. Especially if your lifestyle is run-run-run. (In my case airline/airport food is really bad, and it's tough to find satisfying "fast" but good food.)

Lazy people: We're the same ones buying bad food and perpetuating the super-size mentality.Sorry about that.

3:45 AM- Yeah- Morning drive time sucks.
Worse: Live DJ in a club, and changing phase so you get up at 5:45 PM every day and go to bed around 10:00AM. Nothing like the neighbors doing home improvement and lawn maintenance at noon when you NEED to sleep. And you meet such an interesting class of people at Wal-Mart at 4:30 in the morning, the usual hour for graveyard shift shopping.

Keep on keeping on...
